Wyndham is the largest hotel franchisor in the world by property count, over 9,000 hotels across 20+ brands. Days Inn, Super 8, La Quinta, Ramada, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Microtel, Wingate, Wyndham Garden, Wyndham, Wyndham Grand, Dolce, and a handful of upscale collections including Trademark and Registry. Almost all of those are franchised, which is the single most important fact about how Wyndham corporate rates actually work.
Franchised properties have wide discretion on what corporate rates they honor, how they enforce verification, and whether the rate even shows up on a given night. That makes the Wyndham corporate program the most inconsistent of the major chains. It also makes it the easiest to use without anyone checking, if you can find a code.
What The Discount Actually Looks Like
Wyndham corporate rates typically run 5 to 20 percent off the flex rate, and Wyndham officially advertises 20 percent on its corporate landing page. In practice the average across the limited-service brands (Days Inn, Super 8, Microtel, Travelodge) is closer to 10 percent. The deeper discounts show up at La Quinta, Wingate, Wyndham Garden, and the Wyndham-branded full-service properties.
Some corporate rates also include free WiFi and continental breakfast where the property doesn’t already offer those for free. At budget Wyndham brands those are usually included anyway, so the breakfast inclusion is more meaningful at La Quinta and Wyndham Grand than at Super 8.
Larger negotiated programs (Fortune 100 employers, federal agencies, big consulting firms) hit closer to 20 percent and sometimes include a small flat dollar discount on top. Mid-size companies usually settle around 10 to 15 percent.
Finding Your Company’s Code
Most large companies that have a Wyndham corporate code have it sitting in their travel intranet or buried in a Concur/SAP travel profile. The simplest path:
- Check your company’s internal travel page or travel agent portal. Codes for Wyndham are often labeled “Corporate ID” or “SET#”.
- Ask your office manager or admin. They almost always know.
- If your company books through a managed travel program (American Express GBT, BCD, CWT), the Wyndham code is in your booking profile and your TMC can look it up.
At the request of our partners, we have removed the searchable list of Wyndham corporate codes from this page. The booking flow below still works for any code your employer provides.
Some companies have more than one Wyndham code (separate codes for Days Inn, Super 8, and the upscale brands are common). Try every one assigned to your organization before assuming the rate isn’t available.
How To Book
Open the Wyndham search, expand the Rates section, and enter your code in the Corporate field. Search.

Properties that participate in the program will return the corporate rate alongside their other rates. Properties that don’t participate will fall back to flex. Wyndham’s per-property opt-in is what makes the rate availability look spotty.
When Corporate Isn’t The Best Wyndham Rate
This is the part most corporate-code guides skip. At Wyndham specifically, the corporate rate often loses to other publicly available rates.
- Wyndham Rewards member rate. Sign-up is free. Member rate runs 5 to 10 percent off flex on most bookings and stacks with promotions. At limited-service brands this often equals or beats the corporate rate.
- AAA and AARP. 10 percent off at most Wyndham brands. AARP usually shows the better number at Wyndham specifically. See the AAA hotel rate guide for the full comparison.
- Advance purchase. Non-refundable rates run 10 to 20 percent below flex at Wyndham brands and are almost always the cheapest line item if your dates are locked.
- Brand-specific promos. Wyndham runs frequent stay-and-earn promos (often 7,500 or 10,000 bonus points after two stays) that effectively discount future stays by more than the corporate code does.
Always pull up the rate page with your code applied, then re-search with member rate and AAA/AARP separately. The cheapest of those wins. The corporate rate at Wyndham only consistently wins for road-warrior business travelers at properties where the corporate rate is bundled with breakfast and the flex rate isn’t.

ID Check Reality At Wyndham
Wyndham’s official policy is that the front desk verifies employment at check-in for any corporate-rate booking. Because almost every Wyndham property is franchised, enforcement varies more than at any other major chain.
- Days Inn, Super 8, Travelodge, Microtel, Howard Johnson: ID check rates are very low, often under 20 percent. Front desks at budget Wyndhams are typically focused on speed of check-in, not rate verification.
- La Quinta, Wingate, Wyndham Garden, Hawthorn: mixed. Around 30 to 40 percent of stays get checked.
- Wyndham, Wyndham Grand, Dolce: closer to 60 to 70 percent. Full-service Wyndham properties take rate compliance more seriously.
Acceptable proof of employment at check-in:
- A company photo ID badge with your name and the employer’s name visible
- A business card with your name and the company
- An email confirmation sent to your work email at check-in (some properties accept this; not all)
If you’re booked at a Wyndham corporate rate without legitimate eligibility and the property checks, the standard remedy is rebooking at flex and charging the difference. At full-service properties this can be a couple hundred dollars over a multi-night stay, so don’t book a code you’re not entitled to use at Wyndham Grand or Dolce.
The Honest Take On Wyndham Corporate
Wyndham corporate rates are useful if you have a legitimate code, are booking a Wyndham Garden or above, and want a refundable rate with breakfast included. For everything else (especially at the Days Inn and Super 8 end of the portfolio), the Wyndham Rewards member rate plus advance purchase usually wins on price, and AAA/AARP is competitive without needing employer affiliation. Wyndham is the chain where it pays the most to comparison-shop your own rate before clicking book.
